Sing your scars

Lots of pentimento in this one. The canvas was an old abandoned one, crusty with floundering. Dry brushing the dark over the burgundy highlighted the welts and imperfections that had resulted from the false starts and frustrated impulses of my prior attempts to come to some sort of resolution, revealing all the scars that can’t really be erased or covered.

Not that they should be reflexively celebrated anymore than they should be ignored, but music can acknowledge them with whatever emotion is required in the moment. So the loops, which either spread out or nestle inward as their binary defaults, turn uniformly inward on this one, and mirror themselves, vibrating like the visual representation of the ringing tone of a chime.
